KSB Law, London, a truly splendid reception

Consulegis member KSB Law (formerly Kingsford Stacey Blackwell) hosted a very enjoyable day in London on 26 June 2002, for a number of Consulegis members who flew in from the Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Belgium, France and Switzerland. Also, it was a bonus that London was basking in sunshine that week.
We started off by having lunch at the fashionable Indigo restaurant and this was followed by a visit to the Royal Courts of Justice where we were able to go into one of the courtrooms and hear a judge pronouncing his order on an application he had heard; it was fascinating to see the English legal system in action. We also had a brief tour of Lincoln’s Inn, where KSB Law is based, right at the centre of the legal world in London. The Inn is both visually and historically compelling (see photo below).

The highlight of the day was the evening reception organised by KSB Law in the Great Hall in Lincoln’s Inn. This historic setting (opened by Queen Victoria in 1845) was a most impressive venue for a very pleasant evening, with the opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones.
It was also very exciting to be present at the announcement of the firm’s change and branding to KSB Law and to watch the audio visual presentation of the firm’s history and its impressive range of clients. The firm had been in existence since the 1790s and since then has developed a reputation as the approachable legal practice, providing quality services to its clients. This was amply demonstrated by the real warmth of our welcome throughout the day and in particular the reception where we met many of the firm’s lawyers, their staff and clients.
KSB Law also announced the launch of its specialist departments: KSB Law Corporate, Property, Retail, Litigation, Leisure, Collect, Inheritance, Family and, finally, KSB Claims, which has been called "The law office of the future” by The Times.

During his welcome speech at the reception, Jonathan Wood, Senior Partner of KSB Law, said "We are truly touched and honoured that in addition to our many guests from the UK, several of our Consulegis friends from overseas have taken the trouble to be with us tonight.”
