Dear Consulegis Member,
Lavelle Solicitors are delighted to host the Consulegis Spring Conference in Dublin from 25 April to 29 April 2018.
It’s been almost 20 years since Lavelle organized their first Consulegis Conference and since then they have grown changed and stayed very committed with our organization and its members.
We have been members of Consulegis for 26 years and 19 years ago we were delighted to host the Conference in Dublin. Since we first joined Consulegis, Consulegis has grown and changed and we have always remained very committed to Consulegis and its Members. We all enjoyed hosting the last Conference in Dublin in 1999 and the enjoyment was shared by the Consulegis Members who attended. We believe that this year’s Conference will be both enjoyable and informative.
While Dublin has evolved over the last 19 years and gone through its own transformation, it remains one of the most accessible cities in Europe with direct flights from many worldwide destinations and where they are no direct flights, it is accessible through a short flight from London and other major European cities.
Over the last 19 years, Dublin has grown as a gateway to continental Europe, has become an innovated hub and a hotspot that attracts global foreign direct investment. It is a thriving business city that will continue to grow and will shortly become the largest English speaking city in the European Union. In addition to being a business destination, it also has a long and interesting history and was founded by the Vikings over a thousand years ago. The Irish are not generally regarded as quiet or shy and the city and its nightlife reflects its people. Its traditional pubs are famous and it is a UNESCO City of Literature. The Irish ability to communicate has ensured that Dublin has produced some of the world’s greatest writers including Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, W.B. Yates and Samuel Beckett.
For those of you visiting Ireland, either for the first time or for an extended stay, the Conference may provide an opportunity to visit other parts of Ireland and if you are planning a longer visit and require any assistance feel free to contact us directly.
We look forward to welcoming you all to Dublin and hosting an enjoyable and informative Conference.
