Marinus Vromans advises both Belgian and foreign companies on their commercial activities in Belgium. The services offered range from drafting general terms and conditions, and commercial cooperation agreements (such as distribution, agency, franchise, and licensing agreements) to advice on the establishment of a branch office or a company in Belgium and related employment contracts.
He represents clients in litigation before the Belgian courts and in national or international arbitration.
Marinus studied Dutch law at the University of Utrecht, Belgian business law at the University of Antwerp and European law at the College of Europe in Bruges.
For many years Marinus was a practising attorney in Amsterdam: he is therefore familiar with Dutch law and has specialised knowledge of cross-border activities, particularly between the Netherlands and Belgium.
He is a member of the:
- International Distribution Institute (IDI);
- Dutch Association for Distribution, Franchise and Agency (DFA);
- Dutch Business Lawyers Abroad.
He publishes regularly on Belgian distribution law.
Marinus is an arbitrator in the Belgian Arbitration Court for Sport (BAS/CBAS).
His working languages are Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish.
